What to expect when visiting Stellhorn Chiropractic

Laying the Foundation for Total Health

Chiropractic care is like building a house; certain things must happen in a particular order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When constructing a house, if you attempt to erect walls before establishing a solid foundation, those walls would be weak and could eventually collapse. Similarly, if you tried to install the roof before the walls were prepared, you would encounter the same issue. The same principle applies to your body. It needs to follow a specific care plan to repair itself correctly and thoroughly. There are three general phases of chiropractic care:

If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help alleviate your discomfort. Depending on the severity of your condition, it is typical to require care two to three times per week for four to twelve weeks.

During the corrective care phase, muscles and other tissues are given the opportunity to heal more completely, thereby aiding in injury prevention. It is typical to require care 4 to 8 times per month for 6 to 24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your condition.

Phase 1: Relief Care

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed, it is important to attend periodic adjustments to prevent future problems. Typically, this only necessitates a quick visit to the chiropractor one to four times per month, depending on your lifestyle and goals.
